Other than the cabinet this kitchen does not look bad. Everything from the countertop top to the fridge seems well thought out and the floating shelves are honestly so creative. I would change the color and put better lighting to make it look brighter but that’s about it!

The layout of the kitchen island makes it look super cramped and small. The clutter also plays a hand in making a space look smaller than it is. The tiles look old and add to the dimness and lackluster.
after: UPGRADED TO DARKER COLORS
Umm, what!? Are we looking at the same kitchen as above? The transformation is insane. Most people think that when something doesn’t look as good as it should, that the dark cabinets are to blame. But as you can see here, that is certainly NOT the case.
20. before: LOOKS OUTDATED WITH MINIMAL STORAGE
This looks like a kitchen from the early 2000’s. It looks very outdated and cramped. There is hardly any counter space to work with. The decorations also play a hand in this kitchen looking the way it does. The appliances and the supplies that are left on the counter also add to the cramped feeling.
after: BLUE AND BRIGHT
I mean talk about a makeover! This does not look like the same kitchen as above. I love that the cabinets are two different colors. The white on top and the blue on the bottom is such a great choice because it doesn’t overpower the whole kitchen and makes it look a lot softer.
The lighting also adds a lot of much-needed brightness and the kitchen overall looks spacious, gorgeous, and has lots of counter space (which we need)!
21. before: NO PERSONALITY
When I look at this kitchen, all I think is PLAIN! It has zero personality, zero decor, and doesn’t give off the homey and safe feeling you should have when you step into a kitchen. There is also very little counter/cupboard space and the walls in general add to the plainness.
after: GORGEOUS CABINET COLORS AND STOVE
WOW! This kitchen looks totally different from the one before. Again with the two colors for the cabinets, if you want to make use of darker colors but don’t want the space to feel too “dark” and overpowered, go for this approach. I also think that getting rid of the overhead microwave made the space look a lot more open and bright.
